How to read your steel invoice and QR trace
Scanning the QR code on a Sginfriva consignment brings up the batch's mill test certificate — chemical composition, mechanical test results, and the plant it was rolled at.
The invoice itself lists section, grade, quantity, and the same batch number printed on the QR tag, so the two documents should always cross-reference cleanly.
Keep both on file for the life of the project — if a structural audit or warranty claim comes up later, this is the paperwork that proves what actually went into the building.
Digitally, the QR trace also makes it easy to spot counterfeit or mislabeled material in the market — a code that doesn't resolve, or resolves to a different section than what's stamped on the steel, is an immediate red flag worth escalating to the dealer.
